i agree with yall'!! lol... my dad cut down three trees in front of our yard and we kids pulled em' down, our neighbors were looking at us like we were some cave men. it was sooo funny!! they even moved their car (which was already out of the way). and the houses in my village are really close by.

it's neat how the Amish keep their families knit and how hard they work. in a lot of way i respect them but then again there are a few things that i highly disagree with, that's not educating their women on the Bible.

Their skills are amazing and but i think that most pple that came from a different county  (i mean us...Russians, Ukrainians..etc) possess these abilities.  Just look at our dads.  they can do almost anything. if they need to get something done they know how to do it or if they dont they just do some research about it and do it themselves.  They have experience to do many things from building a house to electricity to plumbing to drainage system  (i know amish pple dont have that).  Ask an American to do somehting like that.  they'll be completely dumbfounded, and their reply to that would be "Why would I do soemthing like that when i can just hire someone to do it for me??" idk...i think Americans can be some of the most helpless pple...srry if im affending anybody.  And our parents did most of the things that Amish pple here do i mean as in having animals and churning.hehe...remember when my dad was doin the drainage system in our home? how he had to dig a 6-7 foot deep ditch around the three sides of the house?  our neighbors were jsut fascinated by that. they brought their friends and family over to take a look at what we were doin.  we were like the circus to them,lol.  ye that took a LOT of work and a long time but we ended up spending sooo much money.

But i dont think that they are doin the right thing about completely taking themselves and their children out of this world and isolating themselves in their own little world.  Jesus said he doesnt want us to  be taken out of the world but rather be a light to the world (cant remeber the place so im paraphrasing). 

btw...im still amazed though how they can live in a country with so much technology and still go with their simple way of life...not that thats or anything.  

anyway...my thoughts
